The easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week. What you need to do is very simple. Choose one dayThe easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week to pray for me, my family and my ministry, remembering the ministry of ACiC(ACiC has two Networks: ACiC, Anglican Coalition in Canada and AI, Asian Initiative). You may use the whole hour in prayer or you can still do you work in your office but use as much time as you can to pray and the other time work prayerfully that hour to pray for our ministry. This campaign is also to teach you that you need somebody to pray for you daily. I have been prayed for hourly the past 1,100 days and I have never experienced this kind of peace and protection before. It's just beyond words can express. If I did not listen and obey to Jesus call 1,100 days ago to start this prayer movement, I think I would be pulled into darkness and discouragement already! I deeply believe that this is a way to draw as many participation as we can in prayers. I encourage you to participate. We need you to join us! Trust in the power of prayers!

Today's Reading: Matthew 9: 1-8

Bible Study

Matthew shows us the authority of Jesus in the previous chapters about his teaching, over diseases at a distance, over the storm and over the demons. Now in today's passage comes to a very important authority, the authority to do what normally only God does. As N.T. Wright says:
to put away sins, to change a person's life from the inside out, to free them from whatever was gripping them so tightly that they couldn't move.

Do you know sins can gripped a person that he or she cannot move?

I know someone many years ago that she told me she committed something that even God could not forgive. She did not want to listen to any body's advice, did not want to receive prayers and in a few years time she could not move any part of her body. Then after some years she died! I was quite shock when I witnessed this to happen and I could not do anything, nothing can help her!

So, today Jesus gives us a very good example that sins can make someone unable to move.

N.T. Wright says:
This paralysis was the sort where what we would call psychological forces had reduced the body to immoveability.  The man had done something - perhaps many things - of which he was deeply ashamed.  He was in over his head, as we say, and saw no way out.  He not only felt guilty; he was guilty, and he knew it.  And gradually this gnawing sense of guilt stopped him doing things.  Then it stopped him moving his body altogether.  And finally his friends took their faith and their friend in their own hands and brought him to Jesus.

The most important message in this passage is that Matthew used three times the word "Get up" from verse 5 to 7.
"Get up and walk",
"Get up, take your mat and go home."
And the man got up and went home.

As N.T. Wright puts it:
When sin is dealt with, resurrection can't be far behind.

When people are in sin, they need to confess their sins and be forgiven so that they can walk again with Jesus. Resurrection!

Get up and let's walk together with Jesus to do His Kingdom ministry!

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Chariots of Fire"

Spiritual Journal

What I heard from Jesus today is: Get up and walk!

What I got today from Jesus is a very simple command: get up and walk!
If we are not in sins then we can be able to walk with Jesus each day. But, if we are in sins, we need Jesus to free us so that we can be able to listen to his command, get up and walk, walk with Jesus!

Do you need to get up and walk?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to know whether we need to get up and walk if we are not walking with you each day.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
