Today we go back to the book of Acts after the past 40 days using the Break.Build blog/podcast. Please have a review by clicking this link to the message on Acts 1: 1-5 40 days ago:

We completed our 40 days of Break.Build on Jesus' Great Commission yesterday. Jesus is calling us just like He called His apostles two thousand years ago to receive His new appointment to do what He did when He was with them. He gave them authority to do those things they were unable to do as a human being.

Those apostles got their key word "to come" not understanding Jesus was talking about the coming of the Holy Spirit. So, they asked Jesus when would the time come for Him to take total control of this world as the Messiah. They were still in the "old wineskins" mentality that Jesus would come to restore the kingdom to Israel. But, what they did not understand is that the appointment of the twelve apostles already replaced the twelve tribes of Israel and the kingdom of Israel to the kingdom of heaven and that is His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. It's more than the Church or what people called the Christendom in the middle age(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christendom#Early_Christendom). Actually if we take a closer look at church history, without the filling of the Holy Spirit, the Church is just a mess.

Jesus told them that the time of His second coming was none of their business but what they needed was to wait for the coming of the Holy Spirit. They needed to be filled by the Holy Spirit each day so that they could have the anointing and power to live out Jesus' Great Commission.

What have you got from Jesus today after reading this passage and my write-up?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: Our license of authority is on a daily basis

What I got from Jesus today is a striking thought. Some people would disagree with me but anyway that is what I heard from Jesus now. Before today, I thought that we do not need to be filled by the Holy Spirit each day. Some people may even think when they were baptized they were filled by the Holy Spirit and that was it. Some people may once a while being filled by the Holy Spirit in some Evangelistic meetings or a kind of charismatic gathering.

But, today Jesus tells you that you need to be filled by the Holy Spirit each day. That's why we need to have a daily intimate personal relationship with Jesus. When we have that intimate personal relationship with Jesus, we will be filled by the Holy Spirit and we will have the anointing and power to live out the Great Commission that day. What about the next day? Well, you need Jesus and the filling of the Holy Spirit the next day, and the next day, and the next day.

What Jesus is telling you now is that your license of authority from Him is issued on a daily basis. Which day you are not with Jesus, which day you will be powerless!

Jesus is Lord! Jesus is Lord! Jesus is Lord!

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank you for this striking message today. Lead us to be willing to open the Bible each day waiting for you to speak to us and to be filled by the Holy Spirit through our daily intimate personal relationship with you so that we can receive that daily license of authority each day to live out the Great Commission. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
