DAY 375 - Never Stop to Proclaim The Life (請按此處收聼廣東話Cantonese podcast click here)


There is some complication for Leslie today, need your prayers!
This is the Message from Nevia, his mother at 11:10p.m. yesterday(May 27 Monday):
He just finished a surgery around 7p.m. They put glue to mend his leak lung. He should be fine but have to check tomorrow to see if it work or not.
If not, they will cut the part which infected and it will be a big surgery.









He has a small hole in his lung due to the virus attack the past two week and a new bacteria is being found in his lung.  The doctors need to make a decision  of how to tackle with this "minor" problem.

Leslie is stable yesterday, no decision yet. Let's pray that Leslie do not need a big surgery.

Bible Study

       This passage gives us one of the best examples of how to be a real Christian. Those apostles "never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ." (v. 42) even under severe threats and persecution.

     Lots of Christians would become scare and stop doing what Jesus tells them to do when facing with difficulties and persecution. Many just quit. We should learn from this passage and the passage yesterday that God always has His own way to lead us through difficulties and persecution if we are willing to stay on course. The passage we read yesterday shows us God sent an angel to take them out of the prison. Today's passage God used a top Pharisee, Gamaliel to take them out of the persecution. So, what Gamaliel did was somewhat like what the angel did. The meaning of "angel" is messenger. The angel delivered a message to the apostles. Gamaliel delivered a message to those who wanted to kill the apostles: you might be fighting against God, don't do it.

     Have you been discouraged lately? Have you been persecuted in a way that you have to the point of losing hope? Don't quit! God will surely send His angels to lead your through all those darkness into the light again, into the Life again. Stay on course, it's only a challenge! Jesus loves you! Jesus is Lord!

                      
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"



Spiritual Journal

     What I heard from Jesus today is: Never stop to proclaim the Life

    What I got from Jesus is an encouragement especially to those who are under difficulties, persecution or even depression. You can never escape those difficulties and persecution, but you can escape from being pulled into depression. 

    Look for those angels that God sends to help you just like He sent to help those apostles. Ask Jesus to open your eyes so that you can see who are those angels and when you are able to see, you will be encouraged and pass the trial.

    Don't quit! Never stop to proclaim the Life that Jesus is Lord.  
             
Dear Lord Jesus,
Open our eyes to see those angels you send to help us that we are being encouraged to proclaim the Good News that You are our Lord, our Savior and our King. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
