Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
3.   Open your heart to praise the Lord

So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
                beholding your power and glory.
Because your steadfast love is better than life,
                my lips will praise you.
                             Psalm 63:2-3

Confession and Repentance

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:

“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

The Word (Leviticus 18:1-30)

English(ESV): https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Leviticus 17&version=ESV

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, I am the Lord your God. You shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt, where you lived, and you shall not do as they do in the land of Canaan, to which I am bringing you. You shall not walk in their statutes. You shall follow my rules[a] and keep my statutes and walk in them. I am the Lord your God. You shall therefore keep my statutes and my rules;if a person does them, he shall live by them: I am the Lord.
“None of you shall approach any one of his close relatives to uncover nakedness. I am the Lord.

                              Leviticus 18: 1-6

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

My Listening
This chapter talks about all kinds of unlawful and sinful sexual relationship. But, this world is teaching us all kinds of sexual confusion leading to having all kinds of sinful sexual relationship.

Let's see how Professor John Goldingay tells us:
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Goldingay) :

Overlapping dynamics underlie the concern about sexual relationships in Leviticus 18. "Revealing someone's nakedness" is a term for having sex with them, and the chapter bans a wide range of sexual relationships with one's own flesh - that is, within the household
God associates the forbidden practices with Egypt and Canaan.  As far as we know, these two peoples were not distinctively perverted.  They are mentioned because they are the countries on either side of Israel, the one Israel left and the one they are on their way toward.  The people of God need to stay aware that sexual relationships in the culture in which they live are likely to be perverted and that they need to shape their own lives on the basis of concern of the family and in awareness of those questions about power.  Otherwise Israel will end up in the same predicament as these other peoples.  The inclusion of a ban on homosexual acts (18:22) likely marks this as another way Israel was expected to be different.  The cultures around them accepted same-sex relationships, which dissociate sex from marriage and procreation.  The Torah sets sex in the context of marriage and procreation.

John Goldingay. Exodus and Leviticus for Everyone. Louisville,KY: Westminster John Knox Press, 2010, p.161.

Well, loud and clear. No sex beyond marriage is what God commands all people to know and to practice.
We have to be very cautious of how this world is teaching us into all kinds of wrong theories, concepts and culture. We have no way to get away from those kind of lies and confusion unless you have a real intimate relationship with God.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Open our eyes to see what is right and what is wrong so that we won't step into those kind of traps destroying us, our families, our churches and everything we have got. Lead us to be with you and in you each day that we are able to win when those temptations come. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.”

Reflect on these questions:
1. Do you know how severe and danger it is nowadays of those confused culture trying to temp and destroy us?

2. How can you get away from those temptations so that we can live a holy life?

Praise and Thanksgiving
Let's give thanks for God with us. Let us praise Him:
