Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:

“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

The Word (Psalm 7:10-17; Proverbs 3:7-8; Genesis 24:52-26:16
Matthew 8:18-34)

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

      My Listening
It is so good to catch a key word from God so that we can accomplish God's work without delay. Starting from yesterday's passage in Genesis, the servant of Isaac got a key word from God "successful journey". This key word appears four times in Genesis 24, verses 21, 40,42 and 56. This word led him to tell Rebecca's brother and mother, "Do not detain me, now that the Lord has granted success to my journey. Send me on my way so I may go to my master."

Then in verse 57, Rebecca said, "I will go."

There are so many times we do not know God is our shield and protector as says in today's Psalm, there are so many times we think that we are wise as in today's Proverbs, there are even lots of times that we have so many excuses to wait and not follow Jesus right away. Our little faith pull us not to have successful journey!

God is your shield and He alway promise you a successful journey. Don't detain by anything and don't wait. Just "GO"!

 Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us not to be of little faith and go wherever you command us to do to enter into that successful journey you have already prepare for us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Reflect on these questions:
     1. Do you have this kind of problem being detained by someone or something not going  what Jesus commands you to go?

2. How can you repent and be willing to follow Jesus to enter into His successful journey for you?

     3. What have you got from Jesus today?

     Let us praise the Lord:
