Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

My Listening
If you read yesterday's passage of Genesis 34 then you know that Jacob's sons killed lots of people making a big mess that all of them were being chased and killed.
That's how Jacob and his family were being saved and that's how the man with a shrivelled hand being healed!
God even acted to make those who wanted to killed Jacob and his family in terror. Not only a few people in terror, but people of those towns surrounding them!
Wow! That's the secret of no fear and sweet sleep.
Do you get it?
In such kind of terrible crisis, do you think you would have no fear and can have sweet sleep?
What Jesus told me today is that the way and secret of no fear of any crisis and can have sweet sleep in the midst of crisis is not difficult:
1. Return to Him
2. Do what He commands you
That's all!
God even acted to make those who wanted to killed Jacob and his family in terror. Not only a few people in terror, but people of those towns surrounding them!
Wow! That's the secret of no fear and sweet sleep.
Do you get it?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be close to you and do what you command us to do so that we will have no fear of any crisis and always have sweet sleep. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. Do you have sweet sleep lately? If you don't, what are the reasons?
2. Are you easily being frightened by crisis? How can you claim God's promise to give you sweet sleep and no fear, only fear God?

3. What have you got from Jesus today?
