Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

2. Do you think your face will change and be downcast when you leave God's face?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"
My Listening
Today's four readings give me a very strong emotion. An emotion to feel sad and also joy.
Sad because when I see how devastated it is when we as human not listen and obey to God's command, just like Adam and Eve, or Cain, or the worst, Lamech! The consequence is to leave God's presence and His face. Then, our faces will change to full of anger, rage, downcast, dark, hopeless, vanity, against God, throw away God's standard and protection because sins have us and we cannot not control sins! Why Lamech is the worst? Because this is the first time in mankind that a man had two wives and then Lamech sat on God's throne proclaiming that those who killed him would be avenged seventy-seven times. God did not say so, but Lamech said that. That's sad and terrible!
The only way for us to get away from this kind of horrible fall is to repent and go home with our Abba. That's how John the Baptist proclaimed in the first word he said as recorded in the Bible, and so as Jesus in Matthew 4:17.
We need Jesus as Saviour and King so that we are able to live under His command, standard and instruction. When we be with Abba daily and see His face daily, our face will surely be full of peace and joy. That's how we have been experiencing each day. Can you believe that we have more than thirty brothers and sisters coming back to church at 6a.m. with faces full of joy and satisfaction?
Don't reverse everything God did and prepared like what Adam, Eve, Cain and Lemach did! It is total destruction!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to repent and return to you as our Saviour and King so that your light will give our faces full of peace and joy. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. When people see your face lately, what do you think they see?
2. Do you think your face will change and be downcast when you leave God's face?
3. What have you got from Jesus today?
