Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
The Word (Psalm 6:1-3; Proverbs 2:6-15; Genesis 18:20-19:38;
Matthew 6:25-7:14)
Matthew 6:25-7:14)
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"
My Listening
In the midst of the terrible crisis Psalm 6: 1-3 describes reminds me of my past painful experience of facing with numerous crisis. Many memories came back to me making me not feeling secure.
But, when I read the other three passages, that is another story!
I received an immense feeling of the presence of God and His strong assurance that He is my shield and provider. Why do I still need to fear?
Just like what Jesus says in Matthew that we become people of little faith because we have too many worries! Why can't we just count all those blessings we have been experiencing to receive that assurance that God is the Provider!
Dear Lord Jesus
2. How can you receive God's promise today that He is your shield and provider?

Dear Lord Jesus
Help us to take away all those worries and fear so that we can experience your protection and provision. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. Do you think you have too many worries making you to have less and less faith?
2. How can you receive God's promise today that He is your shield and provider?
3. What have you got from Jesus today?
