Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile

3. Sing a song to praise God (you are welcome to use "Father, I adore you" which I have been singing every morning for the past 20 years or your own choice to praise God)

1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
2 Our feet are standing
in your gates, Jerusalem.
3 Jerusalem is built like a city
that is closely compacted together.
4 That is where the tribes go up—
the tribes of the Lord—
to praise the name of the Lord
according to the statute given to Israel.
5 There stand the thrones for judgment,
the thrones of the house of David.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May those who love you be secure.
7 May there be peace within your walls
and security within your citadels.”
8 For the sake of my family and friends,
I will say, “Peace be within you.”
9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to him.
My Listening
The topic I received from Jesus is: Don't be late for worship!
Yes, this is what I got from our Lord Jesus Christ today.
The lyrics of the famous anthem "I was glad" is from Psalm 122. The anthem was composed by Sir Charles Henry Parry and is one of my favourite choral pieces.
Every time I listened my soul was being lifted up to a joyful state looking forward to worship God in His temple with tears pouring out my eyes. Every time I conducted this piece(and most of the time I conducted that in a church) I felt the powerful presence of God in that church and my joy to lead all the worshippers to have that JOY to worship Him!
So, what is the relationship of this Psalm and being late for worship?
I do not know the situation of your church, but many churches have a kind of "late for worship" situation! If people have the longing to go to God's temple to worship Him as this Psalm describes, how come people have the habit of being late?
As most of churches in this world have not been able to have public worship for quite a long time, there may be a better chance for people not to be late to go to church now because quite a number of churches require their member to come in at least 15 minutes to 30 minutes earlier to do proper procedure to prevent COVID-19.
It is such a joy to worship the Lord in His temple.
Let's go to His temple with a joyful heart and a prepared soul.
And, never be late for worship!!!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to set a good example for other Christians that we will never be late for worship. And, help us to have a joyful heart looking forward to go to your temple to worship you every week. Amen.

Praise the Lord that after a few months of preparation for this new series with a good friend, Alice Cheung, you can see a brand new look in my daily blog. Alice who is now the Vice Principal of Diocesan Girls' School (https://www.dgs.edu.hk/) is going to draw a painting each day to highlight the key message of that day's Psalm. You can see the photos below of Alice, one pictures was taken in Hong Kong of Michelle and me, and Alice and her husband Johnson. The other picture is with her Doctor of Education gown standing besides the Alumni Wall of DGS and with her name and the year 1984, the year she graduated in that school. She had been a principal of a high school for seven years and worked as a Vice Principal two years ago.
