"'You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself. Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites."
Exodus 19: 4-6
What I got from Jesus today is: To be holy, so simple!
Yes, to have a good life, a good nation and good everything in God's eyes is really so simple. One word: HOLY!
Well, we all know that but we have excuses saying that we do not know what is holy. So, God in the next chapter told all the Israelites what is holy. The Ten Commandments! I know that and you know that!
Jesus gave me to see a picture through verse 4. I see a journey from the land of filthy to the land of holy. I see how the Lord brings us like eagles from the land of filthy to the land of holy if we are willing. I see we are so naughty and disobedient to go back to that filthy land often and then the Lord brings us back to His land if we are willing again.
Where are you now, the land of filthy or His holy land, His Kingdom?
Do you want Jesus to bring you like eagles' wings back to Him?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Bring us like eagles' wings back to you that we can be holy. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
