When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, "What is it?" For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them, "It is the bread the Lord has given you to eat." Exodus 16: 15
What I got from Jesus today is: Only God can give you "What is this"!
What Jesus told me today is wonderful! In the midst of all the grumblings and all kind of challenges to Moses and Aaron's leadership, God gave them Manna which means what is this.
For the coming 40 years God gave them Manna everyday until they stepped into the Promised Land and ate their own products. When I looked back the first day I started my M. Div. at Nashotah House until now the Lord provided me and my family with unexpected provisions. Lots of time we thought of we were running out of money and resources but the Lord gave us something like "what is this" in the most unexpected time. It's never too excessive but always enough for what we need.
We as human beings always want more security so most people are not going to experience how God bless them with "what is this - Manna". Or because of our greed even God gives us something good but we do not think it is good. Just as some people receive a kind of gift far below their expectation and they'll say, "What is this? I don't like this!" It is only those who walk in faith can experience the power of God's mighty provision with "what is this". Do you want to be one of us?
I do hope and pray that you will experience the provision of our Lord Jesus Christ with lots of "what is this"!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to experience your mighty provision of receiving "what is this". In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
