Not long ago, Jesus sent His apostles to practice what they learned from Jesus. Jesus commanded them to take only the basic things with them so that they could experience the wonderful provision of God.
Now in these 15 verses tells us how they reported to Jesus of what they experienced in those days when they had faith to do God's work, He provided everything. And then Jesus showed to them in a broader level of what God can really provide. This well-known feeling the five thousand is a way of Jesus teaching His apostles that from then on they needed not to worry about their basic need. God will provide!
Do you have the faith to trust our Lord Jesus Christ that He will provide your basic need?
Have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to God as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: God is your everlasting provider!
Wow! God is my everlasting provider! How come we are still on the theme of "Fear not!" Yes, that's the way of Jesus to teach His apostles and the same way to teach you and me. A very simple and yet a very important message, "Fear not! I am your everlasting provider!"
What more can I say! Thank you Jesus!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for giving me today's assurance that you are our everlasting provider. Help us to get away from our fear so that we can enjoy each day that you will surely provide. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
