Spiritual Journal

     Today is Good Friday. It's a day to meditate upon the love of Jesus and how He died for us on the cross. It's a day to wait for the joy of Easter. 

     Yesterday we finished the Gospel of Luke. I am not intend to go on the book of Acts today but to wait for two days until Easter Sunday. Then, we'll use 40 days of my new Break.Build series to enter into a time of renewal. After the 40 days, we will start the book of Acts.

     What I got today is that Jesus invites us to think of just one verse, one verse only. This verse may lead us to a state of waiting just like those disciples. Jesus ordered them to wait, doing nothing but wait. Because they could not do anything without being filled by the Holy Spirit.

     "I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high."

                                                                                        Luke 24:49

     I deeply believe that today and tomorrow are days of waiting and that the Holy Spirit will come and fill each one of us to enter into a time of repentance and renewal. 

     I sincerely hope and pray that you can find two people to spend these 40 days of Break.Build and be a mentor. Not only 40 days, but three months. If you do that, you will be richly blessed and the Lord will bless your two friends through your faithfulness and willingness.

    Are you ready? Are you willing?    

Dear Lord Jesus,

Lead us to be willing to wait for the filling of the Holy Spirit through the coming 40 days of Break.Build. Show us who are the two people you have already prepared for us to invite and give us faith and courage to act. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
