      Here we come to the very last part of Paul's journey. A journey towards the end of his life and a journey to start a new beginning of the Early Church. Paul knew that he was approaching the end. What do you think he needed? What do you think we need towards the end? 

Bishop N.T. Wright's says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N._T._Wright):

     Luke gives us, and Paul, the great encouragement: there are Christians already in Rome, and they hear of Paul's arrival and come to see him , doing with him what citizens of a great city would do for a visiting emperor or a returning princeling: they come out some distance to meet him, to escort him with them into their city...for Paul this is a real sign of God's grace and blessing.

     Have you experience this kind of real sign of God's grace and blessing before if you had been in you darkest moment? Do you know Jesus will surely give you His real sign of His grace and blessing especially in the most critical and darkest moment? 

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

    What I heard from Jesus today is: A real sign of God's grace and blessing

    What I received from Jesus is a reminder of how Jesus gave me real signs of His grace and blessing during quite a number of times when I was in my darkest  moments.

    I cannot name all those moments now because there too many. Well, you may not know how many times I got caught in disaster, suffering and persecution, but as servants of Jesus we do have to face with many challenges. Yes, challenges. Many years ago when I was personally attacked by a group of people that I always wanted to quit, Jesus gave me a real sign of His grace and blessing. He said, "My son, this is only a challenge, don't worry, follow me and I'll take you out of this darkness." Three years and four months ago when Michelle got leukaemia I got more signs of God's grace and blessing. May be you can click this link to a couple of those:

Dear Lord Jesus,                                                                                 Lead us to be willing to follow you each day so that we can be able to receive real signs of your grace and blessing in all times.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
