Yesterday's passage talks about why we need the Good News, salvation. We need to have an awareness how evil human beings can be from verse 21 to 31. But, the worst come in today's passage. What is the worst bad news? According to Paul, it is those who play the role of God to judge others. God is the only one who can and will judge all people, not us. It is so easy for us to play God's role to judge. Let's hear what Paul says about those who judge:

1. We have no excuse if we judge others. (v. 1)

2. We condemn ourselves if we judge others. (v.1)

3. God will judge those who judge others. (vv.2-5)

4. Those who judge have a hard and impenitent heart.(vv.4-5)

5. Those who judge are self-seeking who do not obey God but obey unrighteousness. (vv. 8)

6. Those who judge will receive God's wrath and fury and will be under tribulation and distress. (v.9)

We need the Good News, the Gospel to transform our lives. Do not be the worst bad news! Do not play God's role to judge!

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: Don't play God's role to judge

What I got today from Jesus is a warning to everybody. A warning not to play God's role to judge. Do you like to judge other people? No! Really?

We are so human and so easy to judge other people. I have a heavy heart all day when I have been thinking and praying through today's passage. I have seen too many painful consequence of those who like to play God's role to judge. I have been trying all my best not to judge others.

Pharisees always judged. Satan's main interest and job is to judge, accuse and destroy. I do hope and pray that you won't take today's warning lightly because you will suffer, suffer a lot if you intentionally or unintentionally play god's role to judge. And, there is no such thing as unintentionally because Paul says we have no excuse if we judge others.

So, do you own things, mind your own business and do not judge others.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Lead us not to play your role to judge but to have kindness, tolerance and patience helping people to receive your Good News to transform to be more like you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
