Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
3.   Open your heart to praise the Lord

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
                                                         Psalm 34:8

Confession and repentance

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:

“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

The Word

Please click this link to read Exodus 30

The Lord said to Moses, 18 “You shall also make a basin of bronze, with its stand of bronze, for washing. You shall put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it, 19 with which Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet.20 When they go into the tent of meeting, or when they come near the altar to minister, to burn a food offering to the Lord, they shall wash with water, so that they may not die.21 They shall wash their hands and their feet, so that they may not die. It shall be a statute forever to them, even to him and to his offspring throughout their generations.”         Exodus 30:17-21

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

My Listening
Yesterday we talked about the importance of being a priest. Today, we understand the cost of being priests. The washing of their hands and feet signify being holy. The punishment for priests not obeying to what God says is death penalty as we can see in Leviticus 10: 1-2 of how Aaron two sons died because of their not following what God commanded.

You may think that all those requirements for priests to do are too complicated. But, that's how God trains His people what listen and obey really is. When they obey, they become holy and they can be able to meet God and listen to God through Moses.

What are those requirements God demands you to do in order that you can meet Him and be able to listen to Him? Do you know? Is that too difficult to know?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to fulfill those basic requirements you command us to do so that we are being trained by you to be your faithful servants and be able to meet you and listen to you.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Reflect on these questions:
1.  Why those priests had to pay such a costly price of live or die? What has it to do with you? What is being holy means to you?

2.  Do you know those basic requirements God commands for you to do so that you can meet Him and be able to listen to Him?

Praise and Thanksgiving
Let's give thanks for God with us. Let us praise Him:
