Bible Study

This is a weird passage. No one can understand why Paul agreed to follow everything the leaders in Jerusalem said after he bravely insisted on not doing it causing quite a number of riots in the previous chapters.

What is the use of the Council of Jerusalem in Acts 15? Why he did that in today's passage? Did it work? We know that it did not work, but Paul did it.

Do you think it is a mistake, or is it a success?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

Spiritual Journal

What I heard from Jesus today is: Did Paul make a mistake?

What I received from Jesus is a challenge to all of us who are leaders in the Church. Lots of time we have to sacrifice what we think we should do but to do something in order to have peace back to our own church.

I have made quite a number of sacrifices the past many years. Some I did it right bring peace back to some relationships. Some I did it wrong because no matter how you retreat, some people won't care and it won't work. So, you stand firm or you back off?

So, did Paul make a mistake? Or did he has a great success? What is your answer? If it were you, what would you do?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Remove all our fears away so that we can do the thing you ask us to do.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
