Bible Study

     Yesterday we have the whole passage of verses 12 to 18. Today we focus on only the first two verses, verses 12 to 13. These two verses are very, very critical to Christian leaders. Why? Because there are so many Christian leaders fear losing their spiritual authority. They think that they can get their spiritual authority through more strategic plans, more degrees, more money, more everything. Here you have the answer. Let me ask you two questions first:
1. Why Paul says "since we have such a hope, we are very bold, not like Moses?"
    Why Moses could not have that kind of boldness? What did he lack of? What did he fear of?

 2. Why did Moses want to hide so that he covered his face with a veil? What really happened deep down in his soul?

     If you can answer these two questions, then you should not have the fear to lose your spiritual authority. Can you answer these two questions?

    What I heard from Jesus today is: Fear to lose your spiritual authority?

    What I got from Jesus today is a voice like thunder to all of us, especially Christians leaders. 

     Yesterday we talk about the invitation from God to you to go into that place to meet God(for Moses was the tabernacle, for you should be your regular place to meet Jesus) each day that your veil can be removed, and shine! The closer to Jesus, the more frequent with Jesus, then you shine, shine and shine! Those people whose hearts are hard can not be able to see or recognize the radiance.

     Today we talk about the the fear of losing your spiritual authority. Moses knew that the radiance would fade away when he left the presence of God. And, he had the fear that his people won't follow him because they could not be able to see that kind of radiance. When could he learn that radiance can be inside, just like what Paul says in the last chapter, that's not the outer appearance? See what kind of great spiritual authority Paul has.

    If you want to have that kind of radiance, light of Christ, Christ-likeness, what you need to do is to have more time with Jesus. Moses and all those high priests after Moses' time did not have Jesus, so they were in that kind of state and fear. 

     To have more time to be with Jesus each day, you can be able to reflect the light of Christ in you. Just like the moon needs the sun to give that radiance. The closer you are with Jesus each day, the better chance He would give you spiritual authority. The more fresh anointing you will receive from the Holy Spirit. 

     It is not your plans, your study, your degrees, your money or any kind of human effort giving you spiritual authority. I am not saying that you do not need to have plans, study, degrees, money and every possible kind of human effort. Those might be important, but not essential. The key, the secret and the essential way to have spiritual authority only comes from Jesus, no one or nothing else. 

Dear Lord Jesus, 
Lead us to be closer to you each day that we can have the spiritual authority to do your Kingdom ministry. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
