Let us praise the Lord:

Awake, my glory!
Awake, O harp and lyre!
    I will awake the dawn!
I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples;
    I will sing praises to you among the nations.

                                             Psalm 57:8-9
Today's Reading: Exodus 15:1-22

      Today we have the famous Song of Moses and Miriam. I think you would do the same thing if you experience the great power of God like that. At least, a kind of big celebration. But, this song is more than a celebration. This is a prayer in the formate of a song to praise how great God is. This is a song of praise to name out all those things God has done to their enemies and the blessings to them. It is the most wonderful example of how human beings can express what is "God with Us".

     Do you have similar experiences that you give thanks to the Lord like that?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe":  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmax47l2hLU

    The title I heard from Jesus today is: How well can you praise God's mighty power

    What I receive from Jesus today is a reminder that we need to praise God more often. Because lots of time we take it for granted and leave God's saving acts behind.

    Actually each year Richmond Emmanuel Church has an annual concert and that should be the time for us to praise God like how Moses, Mariam and all the Israelites praised God as in today's passage.

     Unfortunately we do not know how to carry this message of the importance of praising God like that to our people. The result is that we have at most 30% of our people come. I do hope and pray that this year's annual concert "O Music" we can have at least 51% of our people come so that we can experience what Moses and Mariam experienced praising God and giving thanks to God. The coming "O Music" will be on June 13, 2015 at Richmond Emmanuel Church, Richmond, BC, Canada at 7:30p.m. Hope you can come so that we praise the Lord.

     We really need to grasp every possible moment to praise the Lord!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to know and practice praising you in a special way as often as we can.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
