Let us praise the Lord:

But I will sing of your strength;
    I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you have been to me a fortress
    and a refuge in the day of my distress.
17 O my Strength, I will sing praises to you,
    for you, O God, are my fortress,
    the God who shows me steadfast love.

                                             Psalm 59:16-17
Today's Reading: Exodus 16:8-10

Bible Study

      Human beings have quite a number of bad habits. Do you know what is the worst bad habits? It is grumbling! Especially the grumbling is against God's servants. Why? It says very clearly here in today's passage. Our grumbling is not against God's servants but against God.

      Well, the problem is, when we grumbling against someone or some people  we usually do not consider them as God's servants. We might think that they have done something wrong just like those Israelites thought Moses did. But, what if the leader or those leaders we are grumbling against are really God's servants. Then, we would be in big trouble. Are you in this kind of trouble? Have you been in this kind of trouble?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe":  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmax47l2hLU

    The title I heard from Jesus today is: Your grumbling is not against us but against God

    What I receive from Jesus today is a warning to those who like to grumble, especially grumbling against God's servants. You need to know that when Aaron was speaking to those Israelites about the grumbling was not against Moses and Aaron but against God, the glory of God appeared in the cloud. Which means God confirmed what Aaron said is true.

     What I got from Jesus about this issue is from Psalm 16:10-13 just a few minutes ago:

My God in his steadfast love will meet me;
    God will let me look in triumph on my enemies.
11 Kill them not, lest my people forget;
    make them totter by your power and bring them down,
    O Lord, our shield!
12 For the sin of their mouths, the words of their lips,
    let them be trapped in their pride.
For the cursing and lies that they utter,
13     consume them in wrath;
    consume them till they are no more,
that they may know that God rules over Jacob
    to the ends of the earth.

      Read Psalm 16: 10-13 again. Do you know what Jesus wants to tell you now? Have you seen the consequence of those who grumble against God's servants happened before your eyes? I have seen many, and it is so sad!

      Those who kill will eat their own fruit!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to live out a life full of praise and appreciation. Lead us away from the sin of grumbling so that we can walk with you each day joyfully and peacefully. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
