Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
3.   Open your heart to praise the Lord

      Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever!
                            Psalm 118:1

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:

“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

The Word (Joshua 18:10-19:21)

English(ESV): https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Joshua+18&version=ESV

So the men arose and went, and Joshua charged those who went to write the description of the land, saying, “Go up and down in the land and write a description and return to me. And I will cast lots for you here before the Lord in Shiloh.” So the men went and passed up and down in the land and wrote in a book a description of it by towns in seven divisions. Then they came to Joshua to the camp at Shiloh, 10 and Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the Lord. And there Joshua apportioned the land to the people of Israel, to each his portion.
                      Joshua 18:8-10

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

My Listening
Do you know how important boundary to the Israelites and to all people through centuries? Nation fighting other nation for a larger boundary. Lots of time when problems happen in a family, in a church, in a society or elsewhere is all about boundary. Do you know the boundary God gives you?

Let's see how Professor John Goldingay tells us:
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Goldingay) :

Suppose two clans and thus two particular families get into a dispute about which of them a particular segment of the country belongs to. The boundary lists ought to enable the clans to resolve disputes.

John Goldingay. Joshua, Judges and Ruth for Everyone. Louisville,KY: Westminster John Knox Press, 2011, p.73.

How blessed the Israelites were that they were willing to listen to what Joshua told them according to the list of their boundaries.

Today, Archbishop Ping Chung Yong, his wife Julia Yong and I flew to Thunder Bay to visit our new mission abbey church "Urban Abbey". I have put lots of photos of our visit below for you to give thanks to the Lord for how the Lord gives the whole city of Thunder Bay as a new boundary to Anglican Mission in Canada. Last November, Rev. Dr. Kimberley Morrison received a vision and had the courage similar to what Joshua received to ask for a 125 years old Baptist Church to sell the church to her "Urban Abbey" ministry with just $1 and it did happened. Praise the Lord!

Do you know the boundary God gives you? How are you able to know that? How are you going to use that boundary to extend God's Kingdom?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Open our eyes so that we are able to see the boundary you have given us. Holy Spirit, pour down your fresh anointing on us so that we can use that boundary to extend your mighty Kingdom. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Reflect on these questions:
1. Do you know the boundary God gives you? If you don't, do you have any way to know that?

2. How are you going to use the boundary God gives you to extend His mighty Kingdom?

3. What have you got from Jesus today?
