Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be moved, but abides forever.

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:

“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

The Word (Judges 7:1-8)

English(ESV): https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Judges 7&version=ESV

Then Jerubbaal (that is, Gideon) and all the people who were with him rose early and encamped beside the spring of Harod. And the camp of Midian was north of them, by the hill of Moreh, in the valley.
The Lord said to Gideon, “The people with you are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hand, lest Israel boast over me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’Now therefore proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is fearful and trembling, let him return home and hurry away from Mount Gilead.’” Then 22,000 of the people returned, and 10,000 remained.
And the Lord said to Gideon, “The people are still too many. Take them down to the water, and I will test them for you there, and anyone of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall go with you,’ shall go with you, and anyone of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall not go with you,’ shall not go.” So he brought the people down to the water. And the Lord said to Gideon, “Every one who laps the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set by himself. Likewise, every one who kneels down to drink.” And the number of those who lapped, putting their hands to their mouths, was 300 men, but all the rest of the people knelt down to drink water. And the Lord said to Gideon, “With the 300 men who lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hand, and let all the others go every man to his home.” So the people took provisions in their hands, and their trumpets. And he sent all the rest of Israel every man to his tent, but retained the 300 men. And the camp of Midian was below him in the valley.
                      Judges 7:1-8

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

My Listening
This is one of the most interesting and encouraging passage in the Bible. We as human beings always think of the more people the better to fight a warfare. Not with God!

God didn't need the 22,000. God didn't need the 10,000. God used His very strange and special method to choose only 300. And, 300 people is more than enough to fight an army which is uncountable.

As today is DAY 6 of our 40 Days Prayer for REC Promised Land, the Lord leads me to think of those who came to pray the past six days. Today we had 44 brothers and sisters willing to come to pray at 7a.m. Do you think they are similar to those 300? I don't have an answer! But, I think those who have come to pray the past six days are similar to Gideon's 300.

Dear Lord Jesus,
May you open more people's mind to understand that weekly prayer meeting is the lifeline of a church and that we really need more people joining their church's prayer meeting to pray so that they can experience Your Mighty power. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Reflect on these questions:
1. Do you think you are one of those 22,000? Those10,000? Or, the 300?

2.  What kind of action are you taking to signify that you are one of those 300?

3. What have you got from Jesus today?

Today's Time with Abba daily reading that I recited loudly and copy the Bible is:
Psalm 119:65-72
Lamentations 2:20-3:66
Hebrews 1:1-14
Proverbs 26:21-22
