Yesterday's passage we talk about our willingness to tithing and offerings. Today we talk about a deeper level of offering, an offering of ourselves.
N.T. Wright says:
Luke 12 is a standing rebuke to all casual, half-hearted, relaxed Christianity. The warning about dangerous foes, and the promise that our God knows and cares about the smallest details of our lives, combine to challenge us to dedicated, single-minded discipleship.
Do you see yourself as a good disciple of Jesus? Do other people see you as a good disciple of Jesus? Does God see you as a good disciple of Jesus?
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: Does God see you as a good disciple of Jesus?
What I received from Jesus today is a question of who we are in the eyes of God. Are you a casual, half-hearted, relaxed Christian or are you a full-hearted, focus disciple of Jesus in the eyes of God?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be a full-hearted and focus disciple of Jesus in your eye. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
