This passage seems talking about we should invite some poor people to have dinner in our home. And, quite a lot of Christians start to invite more people and poor people into their home to have dinner. But, in fact this parable is talking about who are those people willing to be invited by Jesus to get a taste of His banquet?
But, it seems more than that. Because Jesus says, "Blessed is the man who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God." Does it mean that a one time feast, like that when you received Jesus you are welcome into the kingdom of heaven. Or, does it mean it is a coming home feast. Just like a son needs to go home to eat with his parents.
This can also lead to how often do you go home to eat with your Heaven Father. Our Father in heaven has prepared a feast for us to go home and enjoy the feast with him each day. It's home! How often do you go home to eat with your heavenly Father?
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: Come home to get a taste of my banquet!
What I received from Jesus today is his daily invitation for coming home to enjoy a banquet with him, to get a taste of His banquet! Since July 2009 when I first started to write my first blog, I have been experiencing the great taste of Jesus banquet daily. It is just grrrrr....eat! Really, a banquet everyday!
Unfortunately, there are so many Christians out there who do not want to come home at all. Wandering outside for days, months and years but never come home to get a taste of Jesus' banquet. What a waste!
Please join our new Mentor 123 campaign starting this coming Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013, to find two more people to come together once a week for three months, encouraging each others to have daily devotion to taste the wonderful daily banquet of Jesus. For this reason and mainly to create a momentum to this new yearly campaign I will start a new blog and podcast on that day. Don't follow those three bad examples of this passage to have excuses and say NO to Jesus! It is such a waste not going home daily to be with Jesus!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to enjoy going home daily to taste your wonderful banquet specially prepared for us and have a good time with you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
