Bible Study
From blind to be able to see, from fear to courageous, from not knowing to believe, from can't see who Jesus is to be able to see that Jesus is the Messiah. That is the blind man's first spiritual journey!
But, for those Pharisees their story is just the opposite. They claim they can see but in fact they are blind and in sin!
N.T. Wright tells us more about those Pharisees:
The position of the man's accusers - the hardline Pharisees who are sticking to their principles at the cost of the evidence - is then all the more devastatingly exposed. Not only are they wrong, but they have construct a system within which they will never see that they are wrong. It is one thing to be genuinely mistaken, and to be open to new evidence, new arguments, new insights. It is another to create a closed world, like a sealed room, into which no light, no fresh air, can come from outside.
So, are you blind or are you able to see? Are you able to see what Jesus wants you to see?
Have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: Are You Blind? 瞎了眼嗎?
"Are you blind?" When would you scold someone like that?
But today, Jesus wants to ask you this question. What is your answer?
Are you sure that you answer it correctly?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to admit that we are always blind and open our eyes daily so that we can see. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
