There were so many people discussing and arguing who Jesus really was. John brought in Nicodemus in the midst of this hot debate which makes a big difference!
N.T. Wright says:
By John 19:39 we discover that Nicodemus has become a disciple of Jesus. His response shows that, in fact, if anyone round here doesn't know the law it's the Pharisees themselves! They are condemning Jesus without having heard what he has to say for himself or seen what he is doing. They are behaving in the classic manner of people who are threatened by a new idea: reject it quickly, on whatever pretext comes to hand. People still do this with the gospel, alas, and we still need Nicodemuses to point out the fallacy in what is so often said.
Can you understand how important it was for Nicodemus to be there?
Have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to God as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

That is an invitation directly sent from Jesus to you through me today!
What is the requirement to be Nicodemuses?
1. Be with Jesus and have the born-again experience.
2. Have become disciples of Christ.
3. Willing to bear witness for Jesus in any condition.
Are you prepared and be willing to be a Nicodemus?
Dear Holy Spirit,
Pour down your fresh anointing on us that we can be Nicodemuses. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
