"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "Before Abraham was born, I am!"

N.T .Wright says:
What then does Jesus mean in the crucial verse 58? He is identifying himself so closely with the one true and living God that he can speak of himself as being there 'before Abraham existed'. This is as close as we come on the lips of Jesus to a direct statement of what John says in his Prologue (John 1: 1-2):
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
Are you willing to be with the Word everyday? Are you willing to be with Jesus who is the Word everyday? Are you willing to open the Bible and let the Word, Jesus, to be with you everyday?
Have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: Forever and ever blessing! 自有永有的祝福!
What I receive from Jesus this morning is very special. Jesus reminds me of "forever 21", a fashion clothes chains all over North America. There is one in Richmond Centre. The first time I saw the brand name quite some years ago I thought that was a clever idea. There are so many people who wants always to be 21. It means "always young", "youthful"! But, no one can stay always 21!
God, the Creator, creates us that we have to grow old and we have to die. That's the fact and no one can escape "death"! But here in this passage Jesus gives us the best hope: He is forever and ever! And He says, "If anyone keeps my word, he will never see death."
What does Jesus word means to you today?
Keeps his word and be with Jesus everyday, that's your forever and ever blessing!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to keep your word and be with you daily that we can receive your forever and ever blessing. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
