Bible Study

This passage seems talking about the same thing as the last passage but in a more complicated way. With Psalm 40:6-8 as in 10:5-7, the author just wants to tell us one thing, and that is the old system of sacrifices is no more useful but to replace with Jesus once and for all sacrifice of His life to us so that we can be made holy.

Bishop N.T. Wright says ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N._T._Wright ) :
What Jesus the Messiah has done, once and for all, comes both as the crown and completion of God's previous purposes and as the new reality which takes their place.

N.T. Wright. Hebrews for Everyone. Louisville,KY: Westminster John Knox Press, 2004, p.109.

Every Christian wants to become holy. Lots of Christians use numerous ways of disciplines to train themselves to be holy. But, can those disciplines really lead us to holiness?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe":  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmax47l2hLU

Spiritual Journal

The title I heard from Jesus today is: The way to be holy

The message I got from Jesus today is a reminder that the way to be holy is not through various methods, programs and disciplines. Lots of people thinks that they do not want to use this blog/podcast is because it is just one of the many programs.

I do not think this blog/podcast is a program. I am quite sure that this is a channel or bridge helping us to establish a true daily intimate personal relationship with Jesus. There is no way to become holy, only Jesus!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be with you each day that we can have a better chance to become holy. Lord Jesus, we want to be holy. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
