DAY 378 - How Well Can You Tell God's Love Story? (請按此處收聼廣東話Cantonese podcast click here)

I visited Leslie yesterday around 4p.m. He was being transferred to a new room, seems for less critical patient. Yesterday should be the first day that his parents were not in the hospital when I visited because his situation is more steady. And, Kenny started to go back to work yesterday. Praise the Lord!

But, I got a "red alert" message from Nevia at 11:47p.m. yesterday(Friday May 31):
I'm so scared! The nurse just told Kenny, the medication not really work for Leslie's lung bacteria!

Let's pray that they can change a new medication that works and that Leslie does not need a surgery. Thanks for your prayers!

Bible Study

Do you remember what was the charge against Stephen? It is in Acts 6:11: "He is speaking blasphemies against Moses and against God."

That's why Stephen told the story that everyone should know beginning from the start of God's calling and choosing Abraham to Moses.  Not only to Moses, but to Joshua, David and Solomon. The whole story of God's love story to the Israelites.

One of the great arts of Christian theology is to know how to tell the story: the story of the Old Testament, the story of Jesus as both the climax of the Old Testament and the foundation of all that was to come, and the story of the church from the first days until now.

How well do you know God's love story? How well can you tell God's love story?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

Spiritual Journal

What I heard from Jesus today is: How well can you tell God's love story?

What I got from Jesus is a call for us to read the whole Bible, not just the New Testament but the Old Testament and the New Testament again and again so that we know God's love story well and we can tell God's love story well.

Today's blog and podcast may be the shortest of all my blog and podcast because I do not have anything to say or add. It is a very, very clear message to all of us. The message is:

Get your Bible and read it as often as you can so that you can tell God's love story well.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be willing to get our Bible and read it as often as we can day after day and year after year so that we can tell your love story well.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
