Bible Study

Paul talks about how the Corinthians boast of their wisdom and power to be "somebodies" and not "nobodies" in yesterday's passage. Paul reminds them that the true and real wisdom and power is not in that human sense but in the Cross of Jesus.

Bishop N.T. Wright's says ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N._T._Wright ) :

Paul picked up this Jewish tradition and declared that God's past, present and future had at last been unveiled in and through Jesus the Messiah. Jesus was the clue to all the secrets of God.

Life is never for us to understand because we do not have the ability to understand. Jesus is the clue to all the secrets of God. Do you think so?

Spiritual Journal

What I heard from Jesus today is: Jesus is the clue to all the secrets of God

What I got from Jesus today is an invitation for us not to try to solve problems of our lives with our own wisdom. We just can't.
Also, we can not try to solve problems of our lives with our own power if we think we have any power. We just can't.

Yes, the clue to all the secrets of God is really in Jesus. If you are truly in Christ, you can be able to demonstrate the power of the Spirit. Where does the power of the Spirit comes from? It comes from within us. It comes when we are willing to take the Cross to give, to sacrifice and to die. The power of the Spirit comes when we are willing to die and transformation happens. That's the power when we can be changed to be more like Jesus day after day.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Lead us to be in you so that we are able to demonstrate the power of the Spirit through our dying and rising with you. We need new life. We need transformation. We need to be more like you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
