1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

Today's main passage:
29 But as for me, afflicted and in pain—
may your salvation, God, protect me.
may your salvation, God, protect me.
30 I will praise God’s name in song
and glorify him with thanksgiving.
31 This will please the Lord more than an ox,
more than a bull with its horns and hooves.
32 The poor will see and be glad—
you who seek God, may your hearts live! Psalm 69:29-32
and glorify him with thanksgiving.

more than a bull with its horns and hooves.
32 The poor will see and be glad—
you who seek God, may your hearts live! Psalm 69:29-32

My Listening
The past two days I prayed for several people who have depression. Most of them have been going to counsellors and need medication!
Today God gives me an important inspiration as I read how David was being chased by King Saul trying to kill him. It is so natural that he could be pulled into the darkness of depression and could not come out. But, when I read Psalm 69:29-32, I have a kind of waking up from a deep sleep feeling!
I find out that David sang praises to God continuously to help his heart awaken and alive so that he could experience the presence of God.
Can you imaging almost all Psalms were once sang and used to praise God!
Today I think of Bishop Melter, Bishop of the Anglican Church of Sabah who loves to sing songs to praise God. Sometimes he whistled, sometimes he used humming, and sometimes he sang the words.
I felt quite strange when I noticed this unusual habit and I asked him why. He said, "I need to praise and worship God always!"
Do not want to be swallowed by anxiety and depression?
Then, you need to praise and worship God always!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help me to sing praises to you and that we can be able to truly worship you as often as we can so that we won't be swallowed by anxiety and depression. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. Any inspiration from today's message for you to remove anxiety and depression out of your life?
2. What is your next step to act on today's message?
