2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:

     “Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

     "Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

The Word, Time with Abba (Psalm 62:1-12, Judges 11:1-12:15;John 1:1-28; Proverbs 14:13-14)

    Today's main passage:

                               Truly my soul finds rest in God;
    my salvation comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
    he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
How long will you assault me?
    Would all of you throw me down—
    this leaning wall, this tottering fence?
Surely they intend to topple me
    from my lofty place;
    they take delight in lies.
With their mouths they bless,
    but in their hearts they curse.
Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
    my hope comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
    he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
My salvation and my honor depend on God;
    he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
Trust in him at all times, you people;
    pour out your hearts to him,
    for God is our refuge.

Psalm 62:1-8

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him.

    My Listening
    The topic I received today from Jesus is: Truly my soul finds rest in God!

    There are a lot of Christians like to read Psalm in the past few months in the midst of this pandemic because it brings lots of comfort and strength!

    But, have you thought of the writer of Psalm, King David(he wrote most of the chapters in Psalm)had been through so many difficult times, suffering, pain, anxiety, helpless, hopeless, discouragement and darkness! And, David is the one as describes in the Bible closest to the heart of God! All those sufferings helped David to become a faithful servant loving God because he found out that God is a faithful God always loving him no matter what!

    What is the secret of David to be in God's love like that?

    I think we can have some clues in today's Psalm and it is:
    Truly my soul finds rest in God!

    I remember when I was around ten years old my father took me to a government building to pay a bill. He found out he did not bring enough money and he asked me to wait for him. I waited for more than an hour and I had peace because I knew he will surely come back to get me! I found rest in my father's love!

    David truly finds his rest in God because he experienced God as describes in today's Psalm:
    He is my salvation (four times)
    He is my rock(three times and in the 3rd time He is my mighty rock)
    He is my fortress (two times)
    He is my hope
    He is my glory
    He is my refuge(two times)

    I sincerely hope and pray that this pandemic can help you to build up a closer relationship with Jesus that your soul truly finds rest in Him. Then, after this crisis, your relationship with Jesus will be raised to a new level, more intimate and sweet!

     Dear Lord Jesus,
     Help us to make use of this pandemic to have a similar experience as David and that our relationship with you will be more intimate and sweet after this crisis. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

     Reflect on these questions:
     1. How can you learn from David to wait for God and your soul truly finds rest in God?

      2.  What is your next step to make that happen?
