Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
3. Sing a song to praise God (you are welcome to use "Father, I adore you" which I have been singing every morning for the past 20 years or your own choice to praise God)
Father, I adore You, lay my life before You, how I love You.
Jesus, I adore You, lay my life before You, how I love You.
Spirit, I adore You, lay my life before You, how I love You.
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
The Word, Time with Abba (Psalm 130:5-8, Daniel 2:24-3:30; 1 Peter 4:7-5:14; Proverbs 28:15-16)
Today's main passage:
7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
1 Peter 5:7-10
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to him.
My Listening
The topic I received today from Jesus is: How can you get over with this seemingly end of the world pandemic?
Recently I met with quite a number of people and the first word they said was, "Bishop, this is really the end of the world to me, what should I do?"
Today's 1 Peter 5:7-10 tells us how to get through with this:
1. You need to know that Satan wants to make use of this pandemic to eat you alive like a lion, to make you not to trust God anymore and to pull you out of your church and make you a loner.
2. You need to know that God wants to make use of this pandemic to strengthen you, and that to be more closer to Him and to have a full participation to your church life.
3. What you need to do is like a soldier to be alert and sober at all time, do not let the enemy to sneak in and destroy your whole company of soldiers.
4. You are not able to bear all those heavy burden in this time of pandemic, you are not able to win over Satan. You need to cast all your anxiety on Jesus. You need to have more time to be with Jesus, praising and praying needs to be your new daily lifestyle.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Come and help us each day that we won't step into Satan's trap to pull us away from you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now?
2. What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus?
