Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

Today's main passage:
I will listen to what God the Lord says;
he promises peace to his people, his faithful servants—but let them not turn to folly.
Surely his salvation is near those who fear him,
that his glory may dwell in our land. Love and faithfulness meet together;
righteousness and peace kiss each other. Faithfulness springs forth from the earth,
and righteousness looks down from heaven. The Lord will indeed give what is good,
and our land will yield its harvest. Righteousness goes before him
and prepares the way for his steps. Psalm 85:8-13
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to him.
My Listening
The topic I received today is: Listen to God, not turn folly, God will indeed give what is good!
Yesterday's catch is to proclaim a fasting. A fasting to humble ourselves to repent and confess our sins of not listening to God and to return to God.
Today's Psalm gives us another confirmation from God of this call to fast. When people of this world are willing to listen to God and not to turn to folly to make this world full of unfair and injustice, God will come close to us and give what is good to us. God's glory will come back to this world and COVID-19 will be no more!
Our call to fast is from September 1(Tue) to September 3(Thu), to fast one meal or more for three days. But, you are welcome to fast choosing any dates or just one day, or more days. The most important thing is that God is calling more people to fast and pray in the midst of this pandemic to cry out to Him!
Are you willing to join us to fast?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be willing to join this fasting and praying campaign that Satan's plan to destroy God's people cannot succeed. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch?
2. What is your next step?
