Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
The Word, Time with Abba (Psalm 89:14-37, Nehemiah 12:27-13:31; 1 Corinthians 11:3-16; Proverbs 21:17-18)
Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you,
who walk in the light of your presence, Lord. They rejoice in your name all day long;
they celebrate your righteousness. For you are their glory and strength,
and by your favor you exalt our horn. Indeed, our shield belongs to the Lord,
our king to the Holy One of Israel.
Psalm 89:15-18
At the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, the Levites were sought out from where they lived and were brought to Jerusalem to celebrate joyfully the dedication with songs of thanksgiving and with the music of cymbals, harps and lyres. The musicians also were brought together from the region around Jerusalem—from the villages of the Netophathites,
And on that day they offered great sacrifices, rejoicing because God had given them great joy. The women and children also rejoiced. The sound of rejoicing in Jerusalem could be heard far away.
At that time men were appointed to be in charge of the storerooms for the contributions, firstfruits and tithes. From the fields around the towns they were to bring into the storerooms the portions required by the Law for the priests and the Levites, for Judah was pleased with the ministering priests and Levites.
Nehemiah 12:27-28, 43-44
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to him.
My Listening
The topic I received today is: Blessed are those who have learned to praise God enthusiastically and publicly!
Today's catch is the 2nd part of my catch yesterday: Don't let COVID-19 shut your mouth that you cannot sing praises to the Lord!
Yes, not only not to stop praising God but to praise God enthusiastically and publicly always!
Jesus told a few minutes ago when I was writing this blog, "Now you understand why I called you to sing one song to praise me your Noontime Prayer since March 18?"
Then, He gave me the direction below using today's Psalm and Nehemiah:
1. When praise God enthusiastically always, we will be richly blessed by Him!
2. When praise God enthusiastically always, we will be in His presence and His protection. The light of His face will shine on us because He will be very close to us!
3. When praise God enthusiastically always, we will uplift God's righteousness, His standard, and we will be strengthened and be able to glorify God!
4. When praise God enthusiastically always, God will be delighted and He will be exalted by Him!
\. 5. When praise God enthusiastically always, we will offer our tithing and other offerings joyfully. Our offerings in joy will be like what it describes in today's Nehemiah!
Do you know blessed are those who praise God enthusiastically and publicly?
Are you willing to praise God with me daily?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us not to let COVID-19 stopping us to sing praises to you but to praise you enthusiastically and publicly each day that we are being blessed by you. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch?
2. What is your next step?
