Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

Today's main passage:
Among the gods there is none like you, Lord;
no deeds can compare with yours. All the nations you have made
will come and worship before you, Lord;they will bring glory to your name.
For you are great and do marvelous deeds;
you alone are God.
you alone are God.
Teach me your way, Lord,
that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name.
that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name.
I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart;
I will glorify your name forever.
I will glorify your name forever.
For great is your love toward me;
you have delivered me from the depths,
from the realm of the dead.
you have delivered me from the depths,
from the realm of the dead.
Psalm 86:8-13
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to him.
My Listening
The topic I received today is: God, you are a great God because you saved my life!
Today's Psalm teaches us why we need to worship God, glorify God, listen and obey to God, praise God. Because God saved our lives!
Yes, "God saved your life" is what I received today through the Holy Spirit that I could listen to what Jesus told me so clearly. And, it might be the first time in my life that Jesus told me that the intimate relationship I have with Him is because I know that He saved me many times! Wow!
The Jesus reminded me a kind of video how he saved me many times since I was only three years old. Some were life or death experience. Then he reminded me of how He saved me spiritually from eternal death to become a born again Christian and a journey of life renewal!
Yes, God is a great God because He saved my life!
He is also a great God to you because He also saved your life!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to know it well that you are the One who saved our lives and that we won't forget your saving act that we are willing to use everything we have to worship you, glorify you, listen and obey to you and to praise you. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
