1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:

A psalm of David.
1 Lord, hear my prayer,
listen to my cry for mercy;
in your faithfulness and righteousness
come to my relief.
2 Do not bring your servant into judgment,
for no one living is righteous before you.
3 The enemy pursues me,
he crushes me to the ground;
he makes me dwell in the darkness
like those long dead.
4 So my spirit grows faint within me;
my heart within me is dismayed.
5 I remember the days of long ago;
I meditate on all your works
and consider what your hands have done.
6 I spread out my hands to you;
I thirst for you like a parched land.[a]
7 Answer me quickly, Lord;
my spirit fails.
Do not hide your face from me
or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to him.
My Listening
The topic I received from Jesus is: Save those long dead!
We are call to save those long dead, aren't we?
Of course you need to know that you once belonged to the long dead first!
Who are the long dead?
Those who dwell in darkness like those long dead(v.3), burn out(v.4), always feel dismay.
How can we save those long dead?
Well, first of all, we need to know that we cannot but God can.
The steps are:
1. Help them to remember how they experienced God if they had those experiences. (v. 5) That's why we need to have our spiritual journal so that we won't remember or Satan cannot erase those precious moment from our memories.
2. Help them to have a soul thirsts for God (v. 6) especially in daily devotion(v. 8) and to learn how to listen and obey (v. 8).
3. Help them to trust the Lord's guidance and provision that they can be brought out of trouble and their enemies will be silenced and destroyed. (vv. 9-12)
Hope the steps in this Psalm can give you some inspiration of how to save some people from darkness and that you can hear His call now for you to start this meaningful "soul saving" ministry!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to know that it is you who call us to start this meaningful "soul saving" ministry. Amen.

2. What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus?

Praise the Lord that after a few months of preparation for this new series with a good friend, Alice Cheung, you can see a brand new look in my daily blog. Alice who is now the Vice Principal of Diocesan Girls' School (https://www.dgs.edu.hk/) is going to draw a painting each day to highlight the key message of that day's Psalm. You can see the photos below of Alice, one pictures was taken in Hong Kong of Michelle and me, and Alice and her husband Johnson. The other picture is with her Doctor of Education gown standing besides the Alumni Wall of DGS and with her name and the year 1984, the year she graduated in that school. She had been a principal of a high school for seven years and worked as a Vice Principal two years ago.
