Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:

“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

The Word, Time with Abba (Psalm 75:1-10,1 Chronicles 26:12-27:34; Romans 4:13-5:5; Proverbs 19:17)

     Today's main passage:
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

      Romans 5:1-5

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to him.

    My Listening
The topic I received today is: The Triune God leads you to pass the tests!

There are quite a number of Christians name Romans 5:3-5 as "The Five Tests":
     Test 1: Sufferings
     Test 2: Perseverance
     Test 3: Character
     Test 4: Hope
Test 5: Not put to shame

Lots of Christians cannot pass these five tests. Some collapse when sufferings come. Some can pass a few, but at last, people lose hope, leave God and being put to shame!

Actually Paul wants to tell us that life is full of tests that we as human beings cannot be able to pass. The only way for us to pass is to experience the salvation of Jesus that we can have peace with God, go home into God's Kingdom so as to be filled with the fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit each day. Then, we will pass surely!

Yes, only the Triune God can lead you to pass the tests!

     Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to understand that life is full of tests that we as human beings cannot be able to pass, only the Triune God can lead us to pass the tests . In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.

     Reflect on these questions:
     1. How can you rely on the Triune God to lead you to pass those tests?

      2.  What is your next step?
